Personally I've never been into these kinda games for fear that it will suck away my social life and I'll become some sort of weird shut in like that old man down the street. I guess the reason I'll never get into these sort of things is the same reason I don't try hard drugs, once I try them I'm afraid I'll like them too much to be able to stop then before you know it you'll see me on intervention crying on the couch or whatever.
However after hearing the news of "The War Z" a zombie MMO set to release this fall and currently in beta testing I said to myself,
"Well old chap you had a good run, but it looks like it's time to hang up the ol' social life and get the syringe prepped for the life altering injection that is Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming."
The setting of the game takes place in, you guessed it, a zombie apocalypse destroyed world about five years after the initial outbreak. Players must complete quests like scavenging for food and weapons to defend the survivors camp from the shuffling dead. As with any game like this, with every quest completed you get special items and skills and customize your character to your hearts desire. Word through the grapevine is that not only will you be defending yourself from zombies, but from other survivors as well. Maybe a little player versus player action?
It's a little too early to be making speculation as of now, but if you want constant updates on the games development you can follow their Facebook or their official Website.
