Cockneys Vs Zombies

In my opinion, there will never be such a thing as too many zombie movies. So to Hollywood and every other studio out there, keep pumping out those movies! Provided of course that it isn't turned into some sappy love story where the zombies sparkle and there's a shirtless werewolf kid somehow in there...

Anyway, I digress. Upon surfing the interwebs yesterday it seems as though the Brits are taking another crack at the zombie genre with Cockneys Vs. Zombies. Produced by Tea Shop & Film Company.

It is in the very early stages of production so no release date has been announced as of yet. From what I have taken in so far, the story seems to revolve around a group of misfit bank robbers trapped in the middle of a zombie apocalypse in the east end of London with nothing but their charming British whits and accents and a few handles of firepower to see them through. Half way along the way, they rescue one of the characters grandparents which opens up a whole new idea never before seen in zombie movies. Gun toning grandparents.

Following the same idea as Shaun of the Dead, as in the zombies are slow, dumb and shuffling bags of rotting flesh, C.V.Z. leaves plenty of room for gore and that British humor I have found to love so much.

Now maybe it's just me too, but doesn't it seem like accents and zombie hunting go so well together?

I'll let you be the judge. Watch the trailer below.

On a random note, they say Zombies Everywhere!

Love it. The more zombie movies the better, and add the accent, I'm in.

I think I already love the concept of Brits with Cockney accents taking on zombies and this video does nothing to put me off that, Cor Blimey!
