5K Zombie Race

If you're like me, you're worried about the possibility of a coming zombie apocalypse. Wondering what you can do to train and prepare, other than watching The Walking Dead and zombie movies and to have a good time doing it? For starters, get off your couch and run like hell. And then wade through a blood-red river. And then climb ropes swaying over zombies, all reaching for you—their next meal. Finally, slide down a muddy hill to the finish line.

If you survive, party like it’s the apocalypse. At the Apocalypse Party, duh. Bands, beer, camping, and chaos are expected.

Registration is open for the Southern California race, scheduled for October 20th, and for other cities across the country. If you don’t want to run, zombie volunteers also are needed to keep those runners motivated!

Thanks for reading and be sure to hit the 'Like' and share buttons below! =D

P.S. I've made it my mission to bring the Forum here back to life! So I have been adding new content to it and will be doing so regularly. Stop by and check it out today.

Damn good idea but a little bit far for me in distance and location!

This sounds so damn fun. I would do this if this was closer. In a heartbeat.

If you run like I do(a bit on the slow side), and get bit, do you have to become a zombie, or can you just lie dead for a while then go home? Gratz on the resurrection of the Forums. I'm going to check it out.

That looks like so much fun. I might go to California just to participate.

Now THIS is the way I want to commemorate my ability to run again! Wouldn't mind my band being one of those who gets to party it up on stage as well...

Huh, something to look into. I DO have two prom rock songs about zombies.

And a forums eh? I'll go take a look...I ran one m'self for a tabletop pen and paper game I was running. Didn't get used too much, but it was helpful for tracking down and logging in Game Manager commentary and rulings.

That is actually so cool mate. If I had enough energy I'd definitely be up for that. Oh, if I also lived in California too I guess, that would help!
